1927 – 2014

SANFORD — Mary Annette Carlucci Cesario, 83, mother of Angela Cesario Delorme of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, June 24.

Mary was born June 27, 1927, in Barre, Vt., to Anne Teresa Tomasi and James Nicola Carlucci, the youngest of four children. She was a 1945 graduate of Spaulding High School in Barre, Vt., and a 1947 graduate of The Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in Boston, Mass.

She lived her life, practiced her profession and raised her children in Boston, Springfield, Vt., and Sanford.

Known as “Nonni” to her grandchildren, Ryan and Jonathan, she loved to hear about their lives. She made the best pie crust in the world, loved shopping for bargains and was a whiz at crossword puzzles. She loved riding in Angela’s Jeep. Her quick, often bawdy wit will be missed.

She is survived by her eight children, including Angela Delorme and husband, Tim, of Auburn; her 17 grandchildren, including Ryan Delorme of Hingham, Mass., and Jonathan Delorme of Auburn; and her five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Anthony and Vincent; as well as her ex-husband of 40 years, Arthur Cesario.
