1926 – 2014

LEWISTON—Rose A. Fontaine, 88, of Lewiston, died Sunday, June 29, at d’Youville Pavilion, following a short illness.

She was born in Lewiston, on March 24, 1926, the daughter of the late Joseph and Claudia (Cote) Bonsaint and had been a resident of this community all of her life.

She married Roger A. Fontaine on Nov. 15, 1947; he died on Feb. 12, 1994.

She was employed in the local shoe industry for many years, until her retirement. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church.

Rose enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews and her friends.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Julieanne Bonsaint of Lisbon; special friends, Connie Cyr and her husband, Rocky, of Lisbon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Romeo Bonsaint, who died on Feb. 11, 1999.
