HALLOWELL (AP) — The FBI and Maine law enforcement agencies are looking for a man wanted in connection to a robbery at a Hallowell bank last week.
The FBI’s Boston Division said Wednesday that it’s searching for John Slater of Augusta. It says a federal arrest warrant was issued for Slater by the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine.
Officials said Slater issued threats and demanded money before fleeing the Bank of Maine. They said he did not display a weapon at the time, but they still are calling him armed and dangerous.
The FBI said the 66-year-old Slater is white, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, and 200 pounds. Those with information should call the Boston Division at 617-742-5533 or local police.
