AUBURN — Two new assistant principals have been hired at Edward Little High School to replace retirees.

Scott Annear and Sarah DeLuca will replace Steve Galway and Leslie Morrill, who retired in June.

The Auburn School Committee recently approved both hires.

According to information released by Superintendent Katy Grondin, both have worked as high school teachers and administrators.

Annear has been serving as interim assistant principal at Edward Little since January, when Morrill was out on medical leave.

Annear, the high school’s varsity baseball coach, has taught there since 1999. He served as a special education teacher and in 2012 became special education coordinator.

Before that, he was a special education educational technician at Auburn Middle School.

DeLuca is advisory director at the Manchester Essex Regional High School in Manchester, Mass., a position she’s held since January 2013.

Before that, she was a teacher at the high school, a position she began in 2005. She also coached basketball at the school and served as a student council adviser.
