BIDDEFORD (AP) — Police said they want to question four people in connection with a weekend shooting inside a Biddeford apartment that left two people dead.
Investigators said two men and two women were inside the Western Avenue apartment at the time of the shootings at about 7 p.m. Sunday, but then fled the area.
Lt. Brian McDonough said police have leads on who the four people are, but had not located them by late Monday.
The victims were identified as 37-year-old Jeffrey Lude of Biddeford and 42-year-old Russell Lavoie of Old Orchard Beach. One man died at Maine Medical Center and the other died in an ambulance.
McDonough said neither man lived in the apartment, but they had legitimate reason to be there. He said the shooting was not a random act.
