1937 – 2014
AUBURN — Louise P. Chouinard, 76, of 297 Stetson Road in Lewiston, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 2, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 2, 1937, to Emile Emond and Louise Driscoll Emond. She grew up in Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1955. On Sept. 8, 1955, she married Robert “Bob” Chouinard and together, they raised five children.
She had a strong faith and was very involved with her church. She taught Sunday school for over 30 years and baby-sat many children, including her 15 grandchildren.
Louise enjoyed camping up north, reading, writing and spending time with her children, grandchildren and her many close friends.
Survivors include her husband, Bob, of Lewiston; daughter, Tina and husband, Tony Longchamps, of Greene; sons, Tim and wife, Lisa, and John and his wife, Tina, both of Greene; daughter, Judy Begin, of Litchfield; and daughter, Sandy and her husband, Brian Landry, of Greene. She also leaves her 15 grandchildren, Patrick, Liza, Dustin, Meg, Nikki, Jake, Travis, Mandy, Zack, Josh, Nicholas, Kayla, Hannah, Paige and Tony; and 12 great-grandchildren; as well as her sister, Eva Malia and her husband, Billy, of New Hampshire.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Mickey; and her grandson’s wife, Jessica Longchamps.
