NORWAY – Nine employees of Stephens Memorial Hospital have been awarded scholarships to further their education.
The recipients of the Minnie White Scholarship were awarded to:
* Lisa Heald, clinical nurse educator who is pursuing a master’s of science degree in nursing.
* Cathy Godwin, administrative nurse supervisor who is pursuing a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing.
* Cathey Kimball, triage assistant who is pursuing her associate degree in nursing.
* Louise Fillebrown, registered nurse who is pursuing a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing.
* Alison Newton, nurse director who is pursuing a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing.
* Paula Berube, certified nurse assistant who is pursuing an associate degree in nursing.
* Jennifer Dooley, certified nurse assistant who is pursuing an associate degree in nursing.
The Minnie White Scholarship was made possible through a restricted bequest to Stephens Memorial Hospital for nursing scholarships.
Denise Lebroke, who works in the accounting office, was awarded a Western Maine Health Scholarship for her pursuit of an associate degree in accounting.
Rosalie Williams, information coordinator at Western Maine Surgery, was also awarded a Western Maine Health Scholarship for her pursuit as a certified coder.
