MEXICO — Eva Spaulding, 96, died Friday, July 11, at her home on Summit Street, Mexico, with her loving family by her side.
Eva was born in Mexico on Jan. 1, 1918, a daughter of Frank and Mary (Hickey) Fitzmorris and attended local schools.
Eva worked in the Rumford area all her life and retired after 25 years from the Rumford Hospital. She was a profound lover of animals and loved spending time with her family.
She was married March 3, 1935, to Stanley L. Spaulding, who died in Rumford on Feb. 18, 2008.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Ronald Porter of Windham; grandchildren, Grace Giconda and husband, Peter, of Newton, N.H., Terry Lewis and husband, Bobby, of Searsmont, Darren Boivin and wife, Laurie, of Eustis, Kim Boivin and companion, Richard Patenaude, of Peru, Greg Boivin and wife Katherine of Fort Eustis, Va., Lynn Holmes and husband, Rick, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Elise Boivin and companion, Scott Meadows, of Greenwood; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Melissa Giconda of Newton, N.H., Jolene Lewis of Washington, D.C., Carly Mercier and husband. Chris. of Belfast, Brittany LaRoche and husband, Brandon, of North Waterboro, Mark Boivin of Bethel, Dawn and Amy Boivin of Eustis, Derek, Nicole and Danielle Baltrus of the greater Rumford area, Michelle, Crystal Holmes of Las Vegas, Nev., and Cody Boivin of Greenwood; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; her siblings; husband, Stanley Spaulding after 72 years of marriage; her son, Stanley Spaulding Jr.; and daughters, Shirley Porter and Lyanne Boivin and her husband, Arthur.
