RANGELEY PLANTATION — A West Gardiner man received minor injuries Sunday when he swerved to avoid a moose on Bemis Road and his car landed on its roof, Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said in a release on Monday.
Nickolas Clements, 20, received minor scrapes and was checked by NorthStar EMS ambulance personnel, Nichols said.
Deputy Nicholas Zecher responded to the 5:45 a.m. accident. The car was destroyed, Nichols said.
Rangeley Fire Department assisted.
