As the Fourth of July has come and gone, I am reminded of what a sad day it was when fireworks were legalized in this great state of Maine.
We love to go to our camp in the woods to enjoy peace and quiet. But others like to go to the same area to make lots of noise with fireworks.
It was one thing when towns and cities put on their shows, but now the noise and pollution can be anywhere.
Just think how much more wisely that money could be used. Much food could be bought and many people fed.
