AUGUSTA — Patricia E. West, 60, of Augusta, died Saturday, July 12, at her home, after a long illness.
She was born in Augusta on June 9, 1954, a daughter of Arthur and Mary (Cowan) Potter. Patricia grew up on a small farm in East Livermore, raising sheep and rabbits. She was a very outdoor-oriented person, enjoying hiking, kayaking, camping and bicycling, having completed the Trek Across Maine twice. She also enjoyed reading, fishing and old movies. Pat was a great lover of wolves and dedicated much of her time to their conservation.
Patricia is survived by her spouse, Brenda Holbrook; her mother, Mary; her sons, Benjamin Holbrook of Dallas, Texas, Paul Holbrook of Syracuse, N.Y., and Eric Holbrook and his wife, Andrea, of Cape Elizabeth; a daughter, Tanya Holbrook, of Scarborough; a sister, Susan Moody and her husband, Richard, of Livermore Falls; one grandchild, Elijah Holbrook; and a nephew, William Moody.
