WILTON — Dorothea “Dorothy” A. Whalen, 94, formerly of Scituate, Mass., died peacefully at her son’s home in Wilton, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, July 10.
Dorothy’s favorite role in life was that of beloved wife and mother, creating a warm and happy household for her family.
She leaves behind her son, Thomas J. Whalen and his wife, H. Susan Atwood, of Wilton, and their sons, Brian, Michael and Joseph; her son, Robert B. Whalen and his wife, Donna, of Lunenburg, Mass.; and daughter, Michele Woodruff and her husband, Bill, of Coopersburg, Pa., and their daughters, Alexandra, Mary and Colleen.
She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Thomas J. Whalen; and her sister, Florence O’Neil, of Hudson, Mass.
