“Godspell,” based loosely on the Gospels and parables of Jesus, remains one of the most popular rock musicals of all time and features a breathtaking score by Stephen Schwartz, including hits such as “Day by Day,” “God Save the People,” “By My Side,” and “Turn Back, O’ Man.”
MSMT intern Kevin Nietzel and local performer Cameron Wright (of Gorham) lead the show as Jesus and Judas, respectively. The supporting cast features local actors Melissa Bills (of Gorham), Eileen Hanley (of Gorham), Danielle Lane (of Gorham), Tommy Waltz (of South Portland), Reid Watson (of Gorham), Matthew West (of Gorham), and Alec Cohen (of Falmouth), and interns Jessica Lawyer, Jennifer Maurer, Dylan Cole Passman, Zoe Raphael, Tara Lynn Steele, and Andrew Winans.
