LEWISTON — Dale V. Buck, 55, of Poland, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 23, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Norway on Aug. 5, 1958, a son of Hollis Winfield and Yoshie (Goda) Buck. He attended Telstar High School. Dale worked for several years at C.N. Brown in South Paris, before venturing out on his own as a carpenter.
He loved the outdoors, including salt water fishing for striped bass on his boat off Orr’s Island and archery hunting throughout Western Maine. Dale was interested in many things, and talented and knowledgeable about them all. His generous and great nature will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Laura Briggs, of Poland; his fiancée, Julia Martinez and her daughters, Karina and Lisia Martinez, of Gorham, N.H.; his mother, Yoshie Buck, of Browns Mills, N.J.; a daughter, Holly Buck, of Bieber, Calif.; brothers, Stewart Buck and his wife, Ann, of Weld and Winfield Buck of Browns Mills, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Hollis Winfield Buck; and a brother, Brian Buck.
