KINGFIELD — A Franklin County deputy is investigating three broken windows at the former Knapp Brothers Dodge, Chrysler & Plymouth Garage on Depot Street, Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said Tuesday.

Deputy Nicholas Zecher responded to the owner’s call at 8:42 a.m. Tuesday, he said. It is believed the vandalism occurred between Saturday night and Monday morning.

One window was smashed with a cinder block and the other two by unknown means, he said.

Once inside, the person or persons discharged a fire extinguisher, causing more damage, Nichols said.

The investigation is ongoing.

Knapp Brothers closed its doors in December 2005.
