1929 – 2014

AUBURN — Normand L. Lacroix Sr., 85, of Greene, died Wednesday, July 30, at Clover Health Care.

He was born in Biddeford on June 19, 1929, a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Grenier) Lacroix. Norm was educated in local schools and went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Air Force.

He worked for many years as a pipe fitter for the Local Union 783. Norm married the love of his life, Irene (Beaudette), on Feb. 7, 1953. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Norm is survived by his wife of 61 years, Irene Lacroix, of Greene; his five children, Normand Lacroix Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of West Gardiner, Bruce Lacroix of Oregon, Brian Lacroix of Buckfield, Gail Lacroix of Brunswick and Greg Lacroix and his wife, Kelly, of Greene; a sister, Simone Goulette, of Old Orchard Beach; eight grandchildren, Desiree, Ryan, Aaron, Ashley, April, Nathan, Krista and Spencer; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters.
