CAPPERAS COVE, Texas — Richard L. Nadeau, “Butch,” 71, of Capperas Cove, Texas, died Friday, July 25, after a massive stroke.
He was born in Lewiston on Nov. 16, 1942, a son of Mildred L. and Roland L. Nadeau Sr. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1983, served three tours in Vietnam and was a proud, decorated soldier. After retiring, he worked at Fort Hood, Texas, until the day of his stroke.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; and four siblings, Roland L. Nadeau Jr., of Nevada, Joan C. Masselli of Harrison; Jeannine S. Cloutier of Palmyra; and Reginald G. Nadeau of Leesburg, Fla. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Maurice J. Nadeau.
