JAY — Selectpersons voted Monday night to approve a three-year contract with the union representing police, Town Manager Shiloh LaFreniere said Tuesday.
During the first year of the contract, union members will get a 1 percent increase, she said.
There is a clause that says for the second and third years the union can request the contract be reopened to discuss wages.
The contract is retroactive to July 1. It expires on June 30, 2017.
