MECHANIC FALLS — Christopher Stephen Mazzillo Jr., 17, of Mechanic Falls, died Monday, Aug. 11, at his residence.

Christopher was born in Biddeford on Jan. 7, 1997, the son of Christopher S. and Mary Elizabeth (Neilson) Mazzillo Sr. He attended Poland Regional High School and was an avid sportsman.

He enjoyed playing basketball, soccer and baseball. He also aspired to be a model and actor. Christopher will be remembered for making people laugh and being a true friend to many.

He is survived by his father of Elkton, Md.; his mother of Lewiston; a sister, Megan Vega and her husband, Louis, of San Angelo, Texas; a stepbrother, Arthur Gifford, of Topsham; his paternal grandparents, Pasquale Mazzillo of Bellville, N.J., and Sandy Kuminski of Elkton, Md.; maternal grandmother, Margaret Neilson, of Brunswick; his paternal great-grandmother, Jean Mazzillo, of Ocean, N.J.; and his nephew, Louie Vega IV, of San Angelo, Texas.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Robert Neilson.
