SOUTH PARIS — Joseph F. Morose, 88, of Oxford, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Market Square Health Care Center.

Joseph was born in Danvers, Mass., on Jan. 26, 1926, a son of Matthew and Salome Lachowicz Morose, and attended schools there. He worked on the family dairy farm and later worked as a lead man at a tannery in Massachusetts.

He lived in Oxford for three years, coming from Massachusetts, and attended St. Catherine’s Church in Norway.

Surviving are two brothers, Robert of Oxford and Daniel of Rockport, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by five brothers, Edward, Anthony, John, Benjamin and Victor; and three sisters, Theresa, Helen and Mary.
