RUSKIN, Fla. — Thomas Neil Farris, 64, of Ruskin, Fla., died Sunday, Aug. 10.
Thomas was born in Lewiston on Oct. 20, 1949, the son of Harland M. Farris and Vera M. Clukey.
He worked for the City Of Auburn Public Works Department.
He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He loved Maine and always considered it his home even when living in Florida. He wanted to come home, and now he has.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Cindy Farris; two daughters, Lisa Farris and granddaughter, Mahlana Farris, all from Ruskin Fla., and Shannon Brown and granddaughter, Hailey and grandson, Carlos, all from Cross City, Fla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Farris Petty and Herman Dale Petty from Willis, Texas; Uncle George Farris and Aunt Dell Farris of Greene; cousins, Allen Lavine, Dan and Bruce Clukey, George Darrell, Jerry Farris, Patricia Dufault, Arlene Reynolds, Russell Beesley, all of whom are from Maine; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Donald Farris; and one son, Ryan.
He is being laid to rest at Mt. Auburn Cemetery next to his loving Gram Anker.
