FALMOUTH — The Maine State Ballet will hold auditions for its holiday classic “The Nutcracker” on Sept. 5 and 6, at 348 U.S. Route One.
Dancers from all schools are invited to audition. They must also be at least seven years old by Oct. 15, 2014.
Dancers aged 13 and older will audition on Friday, Sept. 5. Dancers in grade 7 and younger will audition on Saturday, Sept. 6.
There is a $10 audition fee. Girls should wear black leotards and pink tights, hair in bun; boys should wear black tights, white shirt, black or white ballet shoes.
The schedule for auditions is:
Friday, September 5
Ages 13-15 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Ages 16 & up from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 6
Grades 2 & 3 from noon-12:45
Grades 4 & 5 from 1:30-2:15 p.m.
Grades 6 & 7 from 3-4 p.m.
