1916 – 2014
AUBURN — Antoinette F. Aliberti, 98, of Lewiston, died on Thursday, Aug. 21.
She was born in Portland on April 13, 1916, the daughter of the late Pandelion and Rosario (D’Ascanio) Profenno, and had been a resident of this community all of her life.
Antoinette was the devoted wife of Henry J. Aliberti Sr. for 70 years; they were married on April 13, 1941, and he died on Aug. 3, 2010.
She was a loving and attentive mother of six children, grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of five.
Antoinette demonstrated an unusual gift for art at 80 years of age. Her artwork brought pleasure to her family and friends. Her other favorite activities included daily exercises, bingo and playing cards, and she kept to this routine without fail. She was a young 98, having a joy of life, faith and family.
She is survived by her children, Rosanne Dumond, Barbara Aliberti, Marie Nichols, Sandra Anestis, Henry Aliberti Jr. and Florence Kelley; her brother, Joseph Profenno; and sisters-in-law, Viola Palmacci, Connie Aliberti and Millie Aliberti.
