DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Aug. 14 Looking Back for 50 years ago was about a special train provided by the Canadian National Railroad that arrived at the Grand Trunk Terminal on Lincoln Street. The riders were issued commemorative tickets printed in French.

The Grand Trunk Terminal is currently being renovated to open this fall as Rails, a restaurant. Rails would be interested in either purchasing or copying for display any tickets former riders might still possess. — Ileshea Stowe, 207-333-3070, ileshea1@gmail.com

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Summer vacation in Maine was great, except for one thing: I left my camera on a large rock at Sand Pond Beach in Chesterville on July 14.

I’m sure whoever found it is waiting to return it. The photos are not replaceable.

If you have seen this bright metallic blue camera, please call 207-778-2253. Thank you. — Sad Grandma, Chesterville

ANSWER: Grandma has a much higher opinion of people than Sun Spots does. She imagines whoever found it erased those cherished photos and is happily enjoying their “new” camera.

Sun Spots fervently hopes she is wrong and that she gets a future letter telling of Grandma’s reunion with camera and photos.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Once upon a time, en route to the coast, I turned at Greene and took a shortcut to Lisbon Falls.

In 2013 I could not find the same streets. The GPS didn’t help. Do you have directions? If not, it’s OK. — Jay Reader

ANSWER: Without some idea of where you began, what route you intended to take and where on the coast you intended to go, it’s difficult to know where to start.

Sun Spots put Lisbon Falls in Google maps and then requested directions from your home address. It gave her three options. None really jumped out at her, but it looks like perhaps you ended up on Route 132. If you continue south on it, it takes you through Sabattus, becomes Route 9 and heads to Lisbon Falls.

Your letter is handwritten, so Sun Spots assumes you don’t have a computer. How about a Maine Gazetteer? It offers detailed maps of the state and might give you some idea where you turned.

If you want to write back and tell Sun Spots where you were going and which way you intended to go, she might be able to pinpoint directions more clearly. Or a well-traveled reader might help.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Does anyone have any music tapes from the 1970s and ’80s that they want to get rid of? Especially singers like Jim Nabors, Jimmy Robert or some other famous singers of that time? I would gladly pay a reasonable price for them. — G.D., Auburn, 207-784-5686

ANSWER: You didn’t specify, but from the dates you list, Sun Spots guesses you are looking for cassette tapes? Eight-tracks were still around but declining by then.
