1928 – 2014

AUBURN — Arthur J. Caron, 85, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Friday Aug. 22, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, Home Care & Hospice.

He was born on Dec. 30, 1928, in Auburn, a son of the late Peter and Angelina (Bosse) Caron. He grew up in the area and attended local schools. He then moved to Connecticut, where he lived for many years before eventually moving back to Maine.

He worked installing doors and windows as a subcontractor for several years.

He married Patricia Winslow in New Britain, Conn., in 1966.

Art is survived by his loving wife, Patricia of Auburn; his children, Peter and Roger Caron, both of Bristol, Conn., and David Lore and his wife, Carol, of New Britain, Conn.; a stepdaughter, Debra Nelson; four grandchildren, Jason and Peter Caron and Justine and Michelle Lore; sisters, Theresa Caron of Auburn, Eva Lebel of Auburn, Angelina Gauthier of Poland and Lillianne Latouche of New Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his three brothers, Gerard, Emile and Louis; as well as two sisters, Cecile Bishop and Blanche Morin.
