1935 – 2014

NORWAY — Sylvia J. Grover, 79, of North Waterford, died Sunday, Aug. 24, at the Norway Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born on May 24, 1935, a daughter of Thomas and Hazel (Swan) Johnson. She attended local schools, graduating from Paris High School.

On Oct. 20, 1956, she married Reid H. Grover of North Waterford, where they made their home and she worked as a loving homemaker to her husband and children.

Sylvia is survived by her son, Brad and his wife, Andrea, of Waterford; a daughter-in-law, Karen Grover, of Waterford; a sister, Marguerite Verrill, of West Paris; a brother, Erwin Johnson and his wife, Marcel, of Arizona; a granddaughter, Ann Marie Adams, of Waterford; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Reid, on Jan. 25, 2010; a son, Michael, on Oct. 8, 2013; and a brother, Roland Johnson.
