1947 – 2014
AUBURN — Paul E. Levesque, 67, of Jay, died peacefully on Monday, Aug. 25, at the Hospice House.
He was born in Lewiston on March 14, 1947, a son of Willard and Arlene (Duprey) Levesque. He received his education at Edward Little High School and earned his GED. On Nov. 16, 1974, he married Rosemary Newcomb in Turner.
For many years, he was a truck driver for DeCoster Egg Farms and later for Lewiston Crushed Stone.
He was an avid fan of stock car racing and was a Figure Eight stock car driver at Oxford Plains Speedway. He was also a NASCAR fan and his favorite drivers were Dale Ernhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon. In addition to racing, Paul was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rosemary, of Jay; his mother, Arlene D. Levesque, of Hartford; two sons, Lance Roy Levesque of Monmouth and Todd Paul Levesque and his wife, Lonnie, of Jonesport; two stepdaughters, Lisa Allen of Kansas and Tracey Vogelsang of Jay; two sisters, Patricia “Pat” Levesque of Auburn and Nancy McMorrow and her husband, Matt, of Hartford; one granddaughter, Kassandra Rose Allen; one grandson, Erik Levesque; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Sonny Newcomb, Peggy Hansen, Ann Richards, Victor Butterfield, Suelene Gallogly, Laurie Laskey, Jeff Newcomb and Jim Newcomb; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his dad; an uncle, Roger Duprey; a granddaughter, Giselle Levesque; and a brother-in-law, Michael Newcomb.
