NAPLES — The Ellis family had their 54th reunion on Aug. 9 at the home of Tim and Hether Anderson.

Tim’s daughter Naomi, was president and Jessica Anderson was secretary. Traveling the farthest were Malissa Dube and family of Presque Isle. The youngest in attendance was Stanton L. Webber, 2 weeks; the oldest, Flora Ellis, 83.

A potluck lunch was followed by a family auction to raise money for next year’s supplies. Games were played and a slide show of old photos was held.

After the auction, there was swimming at the lake, a barbecue,, a fireworks show and a movie on the lawn. For those who stayed, there was a breakfast in the morning.

Two deaths were reported, Alicia Carroll and Nathan Allen; four births, Stanton L. Webber, Annabella Collins, Ezailia Webber and Bristel Webber. Two graduated from high school Allen Anderson and Ryon Basu. Carson Southyvonghorath graduated from kindergarten.

The family will meet on the second weekend in August in Naples next year.
