Air Force Airman Colin D. Chase graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Chase is the son of Tracey Chase of South Paris and the grandson of Christine and Dennis Yates of Norway. He earned a diploma in 2013 from Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, South Paris.
Army Spc. Cameron Hinkley has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
Hinkley is the son of Dennis Hinkley of Buckfield and Betty Dolloff of Turner. He is a 2003 graduate of Buckfield Junior/Senior High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in 2010 from Columbia Southern University, Orange Beach, Ala.
