1947 – 2014
AUBURN — Paul Edgar Levesque, 67, of Jay, died Monday, Aug. 25, at the Hospice House.
He was born in Lewiston on March 14, 1947, the son of Willard and Arlene Duprey Levesque. For many years, he was a truck driver for DeCoster Egg Farms and Lewiston Crushed Stone.
In his early years, he played hockey, loved swimming and took great pride in being a lifeguard. He was an avid fan of stock car racing. He was a stock car driver at Oxford Plains Speedway and loved driving in the Figure Eight races.
He was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad and family. Paul died peacefully after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was a very special person who could make everyone smile with his sense of humor, even through all his pain.
Paul is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rosemary; his mother, Arlene Levesque, of Hartford; two sons, Lance Levesque and fiancee, Stacey, and Todd Levesque and his wife, Loni, and sons, of Addison; stepdaughters, Tracey Vogelsang of Jay and Lisa Allen of Kansas; sisters, Patricia Levesque of Auburn and Nancy McMorrow and husband, Matt, of Hartford; grandson, Erik Levesque; and many caring nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father,Willard; sister, Linda Rose; and granddaughter, Giselle Levesque.
