1955 – 2014
AUBURN — William E. Splude Jr., 58, of Merrill Road, Lewiston, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Androscoggin Hospice House with his family by his side.
He was born in Portland on Oct. 20, 1955, a son of the late William E. and Betty Greenlaw Splude Sr. He graduated from Lisbon High School with the Class of 1975.
Bill worked at the Miller Industries as a loom fixer and later as a painter for Theodore Logan and Son Painting Contractors.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking and family gatherings.
He is survived by his wife, the former Carolyn Pulk, of Lewiston, whom he married on May 1, 1982; his three sons, Jeremy Splude, William and Nikki Splude and Benjamin Splude; his two daughters, Jamie and Derrick Labbe and Audra Splude. His eight grandchildren, Patricia, Corey, Hailey, Kayla, Ella, Ryan, Alyssa and Hayden; two great-grandchildren, Ian and Bailey; four sisters, Bonnie and Jay Staples, Paula and Bob Duquette, Susan and Joe Snelling, and Lori and Jon McDougal; four brothers, Daniel, Randy and Angela, Rusty and Jess and Timothy and Jen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He is predeceased by his parents, William and Betty Splude, and his brother David Splude.
