Bob Bohren to direct RAAPA’s annual Christmas concert
RUMFORD — The Rumford Association for the Advancement of the Performing Arts has announced the dates for the annual Christmas show: Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7, in the Muskie Auditorium at Mountain Valley High School. This year’s production, “Christmas Is for Children,” is a call to the child in each of us and is intended to invoke the joy and wonder that children experience as they anticipate and participate in the magic of the holiday season.
Taking the podium this year is Musical Director Bob Bohren who is returning after a six-year hiatus.
RAAPA is inviting new singers to join the group, along with past chorus members, to make this season one of the most memorable. The first rehearsal will take place from 6:30-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the Mexico Congregational Church (“The Green Church”) at 163 Main Street in Mexico. Rehearsals will continue every Tuesday night until the performance weekend. To sign up to sing in the RAAPA Chorus, call 207-562-7050.
