BRIDGTON — Gallery 302 will welcome photographer, Steve Traficonte, as guest artist from Aug. 30 to Sept. 27. A wine-and-cheese reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5.

Since graduating from St. Lawrence University, Traficonte has been involved with landscape, commercial, architectural, and aerial photography. Currently he is part owner of 100 Aker Wood Frame Shop in Norway, Maine and does custom fine-art printing. Along the way, Hebron Academy was lucky to have him for three years as a photography and digital imaging instructor.

From 1995 to 2008, galleries such as the Copley Society of Boston, Washington Street Gallery in Marblehead, Massachusetts, as well as several Maine galleries including the Camden Falls Gallery, the Danforth Gallery, and the Maine Street Gallery have shown his work.

“As a photographer endeavoring to create art, I constantly labor to turn my lens beyond the most visible beauty of our surroundings, focusing closer attention on the quiet rhythms of the landscape,” said Traficonte.

The gallery is at 112 Main Street and hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. every day but Sunday, when hours are from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
