DIXFIELD — The Ladies Auxiliary of the Swasey-Torrey American Legion Post 100 will host a spaghetti supper to benefit for the Wounded Heroes Program of Maine, Commander Ed Ellis said.

The dinner will be served at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Legion hall.

“Basically, this supper is a family thing,” Ellis said. “We’ll be serving spaghetti and meatballs for $5 a person, and everything that we bring in from the supper is going to stay in the state of Maine through the Wounded Heroes Program of Maine.”

It’s the first time Post 100 has held a benefit for the program and Ellis said he hopes to make it an annual event.

Post 100 also plans to hold events and raffles this fall to benefit people who need heating fuel this winter.
