A Lewiston man was sent to the hospital with a cut over his eye after the car he was driving slid into a ditch and flipped onto its side in Paris on Thursday. Glen Milliken, 21, was taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway at around 5:30 p.m. as a precaution, police said. Milliken tried to brake at a stop sign coming down a hill on old Route 26 near the intersection with Route 26. The brakes failed and attempts to slow the vehicle with an emergency brake forced the car to slide sideways down the hill and flip over a guy wire, according to police. A passenger, Adam Poulin of Norway, was uninjured.
