FARMINGTON — A memorial service will be held for Russell Rainville from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, in Nordica Auditorium of Merrill Hall on the campus of the University of Maine at Farmington.
Rainville died unexpectedly from medical complications in May 2014. He was a 37-year member of UMF’s Mathematics and Computer Science Division and an engaged campus and community citizen.
The service will be a time to celebrate and honor his contributions and memory. A reception will follow in the Ferro Alumni Center on the UMF campus.
A scholarship has been established in Rainville’s name. Donations via credit card can be made by calling Lisa Gallant at the Ferro Center at 207-778-7090. Checks can be made out to the University of Maine at Farmington and mailed to 242 Main St. Farmington, ME 04938. Please include Russell Rainville on the memo line.
