The 5th annual Blue on Blue Softball fundraiser for Special Olympics Maine is Sept. 13, at 2 p.m., at the UMaine Kessock Softball field. The game features local law enforcement officers squaring off against the UMaine Men’s Hockey team in a softball game. The game is officially sponsored by the University Credit Union.
Admission is free. There will be raffles for various gift certificates and a 50/50 raffle. Hot dogs, popcorn, and drinks will be available, as will autographs by members of the hockey team after the game. Special Olympics athletes participate in the game.
All proceeds (through raffle sales and donations) go directly to Special Olympics Maine.
