Korean War veteran Glen Tompkins and Peru Summerfest Chairman Yvonne Allen react to the cold water from the bucket drop fundraiser for the Peru Community Center held on Saturday. The idea for this event was made just that morning, but it was a good one as, at $10 per
participant, the bucket drop raised more than $100 for the center. Dan Richard paid to have Tompkins do the event, and Tompkins returned the
favor. Starting the bucket drop event were Mexico Police Chief Roy Hodsdon and his officer, Rob Drouin.
