CAPE ELIZABETH — Emily Gibson converted a pass from Carly King to Mary Everett with just under two minutes left in the first half to give Poland a 2-1 victory over Cape Elizabeth in a field hockey game Monday.

Hannah Bosworth gave the Capers (2-1) an early 1-0 advantage when she tallied with 19:53 left in the first frame. King scored to put the Knights (3-0) into a 1-1 tie with 6:50 left before the break.

Tia Lowndes made six saves for Poland, while Mary DiPietro turned back six shots for Cape Elizabeth.

Lisbon 3, Dirigo 0

DIXFIELD — Arianna Kahler led a trio of players to record goals Monday as Lisbon hustled to a 3-0 win over Dirigo in MVC field hockey action.

Courtney Lawrence and Chase Collier also tallied for the Greyhounds to complete the scoring. Vic Swan needed only three saves to preserve the shutout.

Morgan Morrow turned aside 15 shots between the posts for Dirigo.

Mountain Valley 4, Boothbay 3

RUMFORD — Liza White fired a nicely-placed corner kick into the net right at the buzzer to give Mountain Valley a 4-3 win over Boothbay in an MVC field hockey game Monday.

White gave the Falcons (1-2) a 1-0 lead in the first half. Lexi Duguay and Alyvia Lee also tallied for Mountain Valley to complete the scoring.

Nocile Clark led the Seahawks with two goals, while Sydney Meader also scored. Kassie Thibodeau made six saves for the Falcons, while Erica Eames turned aside six shots for Boothbay.

Oak Hill 4, Winthrop 1

WALES — Kylee Veilleux netted a pair of goals Monday to propel Oak Hill to a convincing 4-1 victory over Winthrop.

Sadie Goulet and Kayla Veilleux also tallied for the Raiders (3-0) to complete the scoring. Danielle Kolow scored the Ramblers’ (1-1) lone goal in the second frame.

Megan Labbe and Abby Fuller combined to record two saves for Oak Hill, while Carinna Coulton deflected 16 shots for Winthrop.

Telstar 2, St. Dom’s 0

BETHEL — Becca Howard and Octavia Morin each scored unassisted goals in the first half as Telstar rolled to a 2-0 victory in a field hockey game Monday.

Howard’s goal came from the top of the circle and Morin’s shot was taken from the right side of the net and landed on the opposite side.

Telstar goalie Meg Glover silenced the Saints, making 11 saves. But St. Dom’s held an 11-8 and 6-0 in shots and corners, respectively.

Girls’ soccer

Mt. Ararat 2, Lewiston 0

TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat girls’ soccer squad put up a goal in each half Monday, posting a 2-0 win over Lewiston in a KVAC matchuip.

Libby Ouellette and Riley Leach tallied for the Eagles (2-0), while Chloe Beattie added an assist.

Kate Guerin needed only two saves to notch the shutout, while Kelsey St. Cyr deflected 12 shots for the Blue Devils (0-2).
