Pine Cone OES to meet Sept. 11

AUBURN — Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.

The chapter will honor the Station of Chaplain. Grand chaplain Michael Nicholas will join them.

Pine Cone has the traveling mascots for District 4, Miss Teddy Bear and Mr. Moose.

Refreshments will be served in the dining hall following the meeting.

Danville Grange to meet Thursday

AUBURN — Danville Junction Grange will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11.

Special guest will be Maine State Grange Deputy James Haines. The program will consist of planning for the upcoming year, and Jane Gordon will talk briefly about her recent trip to Alaska.

Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting. All members and guests are welcome to attend.

Breastfeeding group to meet

AUBURN — Expectant women and breastfeeding mothers are all invited to a La Leche League meeting at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at 102 Bennett Ave. Babies are always welcome.

This month’s discussion will focus on “The Advantages of Breastfeeding For Mother and Baby.”
