COLUMBUS, Ohio — Donald Harry Black Sr., 66, of Columbus, Ohio, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.

He was born in Lewiston on March 20, 1948, a son of Harry and Beatrice (Ridley) Black. He was educated in Mechanic Falls schools and proudly served his country during the Vietnam era in the U.S. Navy.

Don enjoyed fishing and spending time with his two youngest grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Donald Black Jr. and his wife, Kathryn, Edwin Black and Beatrice Black Meeker; his grandchildren, Shawn Black and his wife, Courtney, Donovan, Scott, Austin and Emily Black and Bianca and Joseph Meeker; a great-grandson, Kameron Black; a brother, Martin Black and his wife, Nonie; his sisters, Nellie Black and Marion Buck; and aunts, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Bobbi; his parents; and a sister, Ona Black Winslow.
