FARMINGTON — Police said a Livermore Falls woman faces charges of theft and violating bail conditions after walking out of Walmart in Farmington on Thursday with $500 worth of merchandise.

Jennifer Lee, 32, left the store at approximately 5 p.m. with a cart filled with clothing, food and health and beauty products without paying for them, Bonnie Pomeroy, Farmington Police secretary, said. No single item was worth more than $15, she said.

The store’s security spotted her and followed her to the parking lot. Lee told them she just needed to go to her truck for a minute. She got in and drove off, according to Sgt. Michael Adcock’s report.

Adcock called for police to be on the lookout for her vehicle. Franklin County Detective Stephen Charles spotted the truck on Route 133, also known as the Livermore Falls Road, in Jay and stopped it.

Lee was arrested and taken to Franklin County Detention Center in Farmington, where she remained Friday morning.
