1940 – 2014

Lewiston — Mary Lou McIver, 74, a resident of Livermore, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Central Maine Medical Center.

Mary Lou was born in Livermore Falls on Feb. 26, 1940, the daughter of Forrest L. McIver and Dorothy (Bryant) McIver. She graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1958 and worked many years as owner and operator of Mary Lou’s Beauty Salon. She lived for her girls, Kelli, Kim and Tammy, and enjoyed her morning coffee with Kim. She also enjoyed visiting Schoodic Point on the coast and gathering for lobster with her family. Mom/Nana loved Christmas Eve with her fostering the lighting of the luminaries on Gibbs Mill Road and gathering at her house with her family and friends. She was an extraordinary and beautiful person who showed much love.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelli Hebert and husband, Palmer, of Livermore Falls, Kim Cote and husband, Mike, of Livermore and Tammy Ferland and husband, Roger, of Livermore; grandchildren, Jenni Hebert, Michael Hebert, Tyler Cote, Marissa Cote, Elizabeth Cote, Katie Ferland and fiancé, Jakob Duval, Cassie Ferland: great-grandchildren, Jonathan Hebert and Reighlyn Ferland; her sister, Beverly Berry and very special brother-in-law, Tom, of Livermore; Ronnie Grondin, whom she loved as a son; and best friends, Leslie Gerrish and Mary Cook.
