I am writing in support of independent candidate Mark Cayer, running for the Maine House.

I have known Cayer for more than 20 years and can attest to his honesty and his work ethic. His service on Lewiston’s City Council has shown his ability to work with people of diverse views and temperaments with courtesy and professionalism. He can be passionate about an issue without it becoming a battle of personalities.

As an independent, he is more interested in finding a solution than trying to take credit for it.

In his role as Council president, he has also worked to balance providing services efficiently to those in need, with concern for the taxpayers who ultimately pay the bills.

I believe that voters who are looking for a representative who really wants to work for the voters should look at Mark Cayer’s record and vote for him on Election Day.
