RUMFORD — The Pine Tree Council, Boy Scouts of America, will hold its “Win Big with Scouting” fall Cub Scout sign-up drive for Pack 580 at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at the American Legion Post.
Scouting volunteers will answer questions, register your family and demonstrate the great things you’ll experience as members.
Cub scouting is for boys in grades one through five.
The scouting program is one that all boys can participate in and grow with all year long through many indoor and outdoor activities.
Through its 104-year history as a youth program, scouting has stood firm on traditional values and has provided character-building experiences for boys that will last a lifetime.
All new cub scouts that sign up in September or October will receive a free Pirates hockey puck from the Portland Pirates and free Pine Wood Derby car courtesy of VIP Tires and Service.
For information about scouting in general, contact Tucker Adams at the Pine Tree Council office at 797-5252, ext. 24, or at [email protected].
