Michael Ranucci, painter

Murad Sayen, painter

The work of each artist is quite different from the others. Marquis is well know in the area for his photographic urban landscapes, capturing what is in the very early or very late hours of the day. Bartel is a fine art photographer capturing what could be, utilizing double exposure and camera movement.

Field, Ranucci and Sayen are all representational painters but each with a personal view of the world they paint. Field’s world is whimsical and tells a story. Ranucci has studied the old masters in every detail and has developed a pallet reminiscent of Rembrandt. Sayen tells a story with light that is mesmerizing.

Dew is a jeweler and painter who has moved into the digital world. His work reflects a knowledge of gemstones, design and drawing techniques, as well as a sometimes warped sense of nature.

Michaud’s current work is in the meditative realm of creating malas, eastern prayer beads that are wearable, touchable art. The process is as important as the final art.

These artists are eminently skilled; together they have well over 200 years of study and practice that bring them to the master level of their art.

“As Lyceum Gallery has evolved, these artists represent the beauty that I strive to share with our visitors,” said Tamera Grieshaber, owner of the gallery. “Experiencing their work is a pleasure and catharsis for day-to-day stress.”
