I am writing to support Jared Golden for state representative for Lewiston.
Golden has strong roots in this community. He was born and raised in Androscoggin County and has lived in and knows Lewiston well. He also has the perspective and experience gained from four years of service in the Marine Corps, with active combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
He graduated from Bates College with degrees in politics and history, and later worked on public policy, both in the U.S. Senate and the Maine State House.
He is a talented, experienced young man with an impressive background. He is thoughtful, kind and willing to consider opinions that differ from his own. He is the kind of person who listens before he speaks. He has a commitment to public service and a deep love for his country and his community.
I will cast my vote for Jared Golden in November.
