1943 – 2014
LEWISTON — Claudette V. Poulin, 71, of 318 Pond Road in Lewiston, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Central Maine Medical Center.
Born in Lewiston on Aug. 13, 1943, she was a daughter of Renee and Marie Jaques Violette. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1961. On July 4,1964, she married Richard Poulin; he passed away in 1984.
Prior to retiring, she was employed as a fancy stitcher in several local shoe shops, including Falcon Shoe and Knapp Shoe. A member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Prince of Peace Parish, she was very active in church life, including volunteering for the choir, Altreya, St. Martin de Porres and several other church organizations.
Survivors include two sons, Larry and Ray, both of Lewiston; a daughter, Vivianne Poulin, of Lewiston; a brother, Ray Violette, of Portland; and three grandchildren, Alexis and Michael Poulin and Kate Lozis.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Anita Violette.
