As winner of the Brakey for Maine Senate Balloon Ride Contest, I have to thank Eric Brakey for giving away a free balloon ride during the Great Falls Balloon Festival.
Taking a balloon ride has been on my bucket list, so I was excited to enter the contest, and was thrilled when I won.
Brakey and I launched at 6 a.m. Sailing over Auburn, we waved at early risers out walking their dogs. After 45 minutes in the air we landed at the home of a pleasantly surprised family in New Auburn.
What an adventure.
Prior to winning this contest, I met Brakey when he stopped by my home and took the time to talk with me about government issues that concerned me. My decision to vote for him was finalized during our balloon ride when he recognized neighborhoods he had visited.
Eric Brakey listens and he has my vote.
