1929 – 2014
AUBURN — Lucille A. Reny, 84, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 18, at Clover Health Care in Auburn.
She was born on Oct. 2, 1929, in Auburn, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Jean (Derocher) Bisson. She grew up in the Auburn area and attended local schools. She was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1947. After high school, Lucille attended nursing school in Cambridge, Mass., where she earned her degree in 1949. In 1953, after coming back to Maine, she married Jerry Reny at Sacred Heart church in Auburn.
Lucille will always be remembered for her love of nursing and helping others out any chance she could. She was truly a giving person, who would always put herself second to the needs of others. She also loved to go shopping with her granddaughter, Amy, and spend time outdoors, especially mowing her lawn.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Karen Ouellette and her husband, Robert, of Auburn; and her granddaughter, Amy Ouellette of Boston. She also leaves behind a sister, Jeannette Joncas and her husband, Al, of New Gloucester; a brother, Lucien Bisson of Turner; and many loved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Muriel, Yvette, Irene, Gerald and Agnes.
You are invited to share your thoughts, condolences and fond memories of Lucille through her guestbook at www.thefortingroupauburn.com.
